Japanese Cherry Blossoms
By creating cherry blossoms, the students experienced a variety of applications and styles of painting. They painted by blowing (watered down) black paint through a straw onto their paper in order to create the branches. The students used their fingerprints to make the cherry blossoms using pink and red paint. When students were done with their paintings, they attempted to copy a Japanese symbol for nature onto their paper using a brush and paint.
